Let's make it simple
I'm a lead product designer with 8+ years of experience turning complex B2B workflows into simple, reliable experiences used daily by millions of hotels. I specialize in shaping messy requirements into intentional, robust interfaces, lately focusing on GenAI-powered coaching experiences.
Redesigning how hotels review and understand their performance
Hundreds of thousands of hotels rely on Expedia's performance tools every day, but the experience was failing them. Data was scattered across multiple pages, metrics often contradicted one another, and hoteliers struggled to understand which actions to take. I consolidated everything into a unified, customizable dashboard, standardized metrics across the experience, and designed GenAI coaching features that turned data into actionable insights. Hotels could finally see what mattered and act on it.
Building a scalable data visualization design system
Expedia had no standards for data visualization. Every team built charts, metrics, and dashboards differently, resulting in inconsistent experiences and making it impossible to scale. Partnering with a principal engineer, we created the company’s first comprehensive data visualization design system, with reusable components, clear guidelines, and detailed documentation. The system now enables dozens of designers across the organization to build data‑heavy experiences consistently and efficiently.
Helping hoteliers understand and improve their organic search visibility
Expedia shifted its strategy to focus on high-quality supply, but the search algorithm was not rewarding hotels that delivered exceptional experiences, and hoteliers had no visibility into why. I designed scoring tools that showed hotels where they stood, which factors affected their ranking, and which actions would improve their position. Hotels could finally understand how to earn better organic visibility through great guest experiences, driving a 17% increase in guest satisfaction.
Creating a framework for more effective design critiques
Design critiques at Expedia lacked structure. Feedback was mostly about visual design and non-designers struggled to contribute. I created HEROES, a framework inspired by Six Thinking Hats and BlaBlaCar's simplification reviews, organizing feedback around six principles: Hide, Eliminate, Reduce, Organize, Enchant, and Standardize. The framework gave cross-functional teams—researchers, content designers, and PMs—a shared language for productive critique. Multiple teams adopted it.
